When imagining the traditional urban development sphere, it’s easy to get lost in a haze of gray concrete, hi-vis vests, and inefficiencies. That’s why Urban Tech Helsinki is proud to partner with Digital Creative Industries and Beyond (DCIB) to bring the Creativity x Tech x City event to life! This event will spotlight how innovation and creativity can transform urban development through collaboration between tech startups, creatives, and urban stakeholders. 🤝💡

Our very own project manager Eetu Helminen has been directly involved in providing this opportunity to tackle the obstacle of the rigid bureaucracy found in the urban sector by introducing collaboration between tech startups and creatives. 🎨📡

“We have argued that we need more collaboration between tech startups and creatives. This would benefit both parties in creating new sustainable solutions for, for example, cities. Then what? Let’s put them together.”

At the event, cities and companies will present tailored challenges aimed at kickstarting R&D projects with innovative businesses from the creative industries and startups specializing in science, art, and technology. Examples include designing immersive experiences highlighting the significance of work-life balance for happiness in Finland as an installation for the Finnish Happiness Experience Museum. 🔍🎭
