Join the DIGITAL TWINs HACKATHON!

Urban Tech Helsinki is proud to be partnering in organizing the Digital Twins Hackathon in November 2022!

Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Forum Virium Helsinki and Stara (Helsinki City Construction Services) co-organize a Digital Twins Hackathon as an on-site spectacle in Helsinki, Finland 25.–27.11.2022.

Companies ABB and Skanska are challenge owners on Metropolia´s challenges and our ecosystem partner KIRAHub is also joining as a partner for organizing the event. The hackathon is facilitated by Ultrahack.

Building sustainable futures within the most functional city

The hackathon offers you 4 challenges within the topics Smart Living, Circular Economy, City Maintenance and City Logistics. The challenges were presented in a info webinar on November 1st. Please check the recording of the info webinar here.

During the webinar, Helmi Tuori from Forum Virium presented the first challenge by LiiDI2 project: how to overcome winter conditions to improve equal urban mobility.

Toni Liikamaa from Stara presented the challenge of Reboot logistics, about optimizing for sustainable supply chains.

Smart Lab challenge was presented by Miro Ristimäki from Skanska and Sakari Hannikka from ABB. They are looking for innovative solutions, which are centered around the user to enhance the Smarter Living Ecosystem.

Seppo Törmä told about Metropolia UAS  Wherecycle challenge: how to determine what are sensible recycling options for building materials, using BIM Models and digital twin information.
